The Challenge:
To research happiness and apply our findings to a brand by designing a product that promotes happiness for its consumers. The company we were assigned was Red Bull.
Project Overview:
This 10-week project challenged my team of five to research the concept of happiness and apply our findings to a specific brand. Our goal was to define what happiness means for the brand (Red Bull) and design a product they would create to promote it.

An AI coaching device by Red Bull that offers personalized training, giving everyone a personal coach to develop new skills.

Based on our research we determined:
Happiness is not just a feeling, it is a a lifestyle. A skillset built on the basis of prioritizing relationships with yourself and others.

Sustained happiness can be achieved by practicing being intentional and present in your life.
A wearable AI coach that provides real-time, full-body feedback could help improve your happiness by enabling you to learn, refine, and master new skills with personalized guidance.

Red Bull Brand Analysis
Red Bull has a 59.3% recognition rate with the phrase “Red Bull gives you wings” is known internationally.
Red Bull goes beyond energy drinks, operating as a lifestyle brand that sponsors athletes and events, produces content through its media house, and sells branded merchandise.
Red Bull targets young people with events, guerrilla marketing at colleges, and the Student Marketeer program, creating viral moments and engaging experiences.
The brands target audience is 18-35 year olds

Ideation & Variations
Concept Development
The team initially envisioned a system with a watch, three bands on the limbs, and one on the chest, all syncing to a hub that displayed progress and provided feedback through the watch interface. However, user testing revealed that the system was too complex with too many components. As a result, the design was simplified to a more streamlined coaching system with just the bands.

Red Bull Jumpstart is a wearable AI coaching system that provides real-time feedback for athletes of all levels. It features bands worn on the arms, ankles, and chest, enabling precise core-to-limb tracking. By analyzing movement, the system offers expert guidance and limb correction, helping users improve their form and performance in any sport.
